Mother-Daughter Yoga Kicks Off Franklin Lakes 2014 Mayor's Wellness Campaign

Borough will also offer a string of yoga workshops for teens.

Franklin Lakes is planning mother-daughter and teen yoga workshops starting at the end of the month. The two events are the kick-off to the 2014 Mayor's Wellness Campaign. 

Officials sent out an email blast last week with the details.

"These programs are designed to promote healthy activities and well-being in our community," the blast said.

The borough released the following information about the upcoming wellness events:

February 26 
The "Mother Daughter Yoga Workshop" will be held at the Indian Trail Club on Wednesday, February 26. Strengthen your mother-daughter bond over yoga with Maggie DiPasquale, the teen self-help resource! Class begins with a signature Modern Mentor lecture on maintaining happiness from the inside out, tying right into the yoga flow. Pre-register by Monday, February 24. March 5, 12, 19, and 25
The "Modern Mentor Teen Yoga Workshop: Body Image and the Happy Girl" will be held at the Indian Trail Club on March 5, 12, 19, and 25. Class begins with a signature Modern Mentor lecture, tying right into the yoga flow. This month we're discussing body image. Feeling great about your body starts from the inside out and we're learning how to stay healthy, cultivate a positive body image, and love yourself exactly as you are.
