Wyckoff Man Led Cops on Morning Chase, Police Say

Man faces multiple charges after eluding police from a Ridgewood home last week, according to police.

A Wyckoff man is facing a slew of charges after Ridgewood Police say he led them on a morning pursuit while intoxicated behind the wheel last week.

Officer Rosario Vaccarella and Chief John Ward went to a Bogert Avenue home on a reported violation of a court order last Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 7:43 a.m., police said in a release this week.

Gary Durocher, 47, of Wyckoff had left by the time they arrived, but the responding officers later saw him driving past the house, police said. When Officer Vaccarella attempted to stop the car, Durocher allegedly fled.
