Two Pets Killed in Wyckoff House Fire

Three people were also injured in the blaze, report says.

An early-morning fire injured three people and claimed the lives of two pets at a Wyckoff home Sunday, NorthJersey.com reported.

The Monroe Avenue fire broke out before 3:30 a.m. and was brought under control by 4 a.m. Sunday, the report said.

Three residents were treated for smoke inhalation, it said. Two pets were killed in the fire, but authorities did not specify what kinds of animals they were, the report said.

While officials say they believe the fire was accidental, an investigation into its cause is underway, the report said.
