As the Registered Dietitian for the ShopRite of Oakland, Nicole Hallissey develops nutritional programs for the store and helps to serve the local community by providing information and guidance that can help influence better food choices. In her role as Registered Dietitian, Nicole also conducts grocery shopping tours, healthy cooking classes, recipe and pantry makeovers and coordinates other in-store health and wellness initiatives.

Nicole is a graduate of Rutgers University where she earned a degree in Nutritional Sciences and Biology. After college, Nicole attended The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where she spent 1,200 hours of supervised practice in the clinical setting. In addition, Nicole worked as a Nutrition Educator and Aerobic Instructor at Health Barn USA and as a Pediatric Registered Dietitian at University Hospital in Newark.

As part of ShopRite’s Retail Dietitian team, Nicole joins more than thirty registered dietitians who serve ShopRite stores in New Jersey, New York, Maryland and Connecticut. ShopRite’s Retail Dietitians offer customers nutritional advice, meal planning, and eating plans for specific medical conditions and overall healthy lifestyles.
