074ATE1: Cooks For A Cure Gala [Photos]

The Wyckoff-based charity hosted its book release gala at The Brick House on Wednesday

074ATE1 hosted its a Cookbook Kickoff Celebration at the Brick House on Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 7 to 10 p.m. Hundreds attended the free event hosted by Wyckoff's Aldo Cascio.  The event served as a book release party as well as a way for the community to recognize the efforts of the volunteers who helped create the cookbook. Proceeds from the book sales would go toward efforts to fight breast cancer. The women of Cooks for a Cure were even featured on the cover of the October issue of (201) Magazine. Local Faces: Pat O'Hagan

Learn something new about your neighbors.

Pat O’Hagan knows sports, he's the sports director at the Wyckoff YMCA, owner of O’Hagan Sports Camps, and director of the Wyckoff Football program and head coach of the senior team. The father of three has coached his children along with Wyckoff youth for more than eleven years. I miss the Brownstone — they had great burgers and wings. I would go with the family or meet friends for a bite to eat. For a nice dinner my favorite place locally is The Brick House.  The food is good and Aldo [Cascio] is generous to the community. I'm a sports fan! I love the Giants, the Steelers and the Yankees. I attended the Giants' Super Bowl with my sons Patrick and Joseph and it was an amazing experience to share with my boys. I enjoy music, especially U2 …

Not only is Pat O'Hagan a great coach but a truly amazing person. I have known Pat for my entire life and he has always been a great role model for those around him. He puts spirit and passion into everything he does and always gives 100%! I love working at his camps in the summer and all of the kids really enjoy it! Great article!   more ›
