Who's the Wyckoff-Franklin Lakes Person of the Year?

Time magazine named President Obama their person of the year for the second time. Tell us who you think should win from our town!

On Dec. 19, Time magazine named President Obama their Person of the Year, again... BORING. Who cares about the same-old, same-old? Here at Wyckoff-Franklin Lakes Patch all we care about is local. The magazine invited votes on 40 candidates, including the president, Gabby Douglas and Kim Jong Un. Other options included Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi, Apple CEO Tim Cook, the Mars Rover and Higgs Boson Particle — neither of whom are even people. Talk about jumping the shark... add that to the fact that they seem to have completely ignored the newsmakers from here in Bergen County. I vote for the police and firemen, the police for being out on the front lines during hurricane like winds, dodging fallen trees and hot wires to help town residents. The firemen for cutting up trees that blocked roads so first responders could get to their buildings to answer calls!! Thank you!   more ›
