Library Rain Garden Will Protect Water, Environmental Group Says

The Environmental Commission hopes to begin installation this spring.

A small rain garden at the Wyckoff Public Library is coming together after the collaborative work of many township volunteers. The Environmental Commission, in cooperation with the Energy and Buildings Green Team, put together a proposal to install a rain garden to the right of the library’s entrance doors. The proposal was approved by the Library Board Wednesday night. For Wyckoff Designer, Bold Bags Embody Extension of Brave Career Shift

Wyckoff Dad Creates Soccer Playgroup

Preschoolers have an opportunity to learn and play the game

This Fall, preschoolers will get a chance to meet new friends, have some fun and learn a little bit about soccer thanks to the newly formed SoccerPlayGroup. Wyckoff parent Julio Diaz created the play group after his search for a soccer program for his 2-year-old son and 3.5-year-old daughters was unsuccessful. “I could not find a program that met on the weekend so I decided the create my own,” said Diaz. Diaz’s involvement in soccer spans 30 years. In 2004, Diaz was instrumental in creating, organizing and managing the Manhattan-based Gotham Argo men’s soccer team. After moving to the suburbs in 2007, the goal keeper joined an indoor men’s league, Arsenal F.C., in Waldwick. “I have always played soccer; I just love the game,” said Diaz. In…
