Fairleigh Dickinson University President Dies
Longtime University leader remembered for personal approach, global reach.
Fairleigh Dickinson University President J. Michael Adams, who was set to retire after being diagnosed with cancer, died early Thursday, according to a message from the school. Dr. Adams, 64, said in May health issues made it impossible for him to continue leading the University and planned to step down effective June 30. In an email message to the FDU community, Acting University President Sheldon Drucker said Dr. Adams was diagnosed with a cancer called acute myeloid leukemia. Dr. Adams died at Morristown Medical Center, the message said. Board of Trustees Chairman Patrick J.
