Family 'Extremely Fortunate' No One Killed after Attempted Armed Robbery, Police Say

A single bullet recovered by authorities traveled through a child's bedroom before lodging itself in an attic beam, according to cops.

The members of one township family are lucky to have not been in the path of the bullet that pierced their Eisenhower Court home during a botched armed robbery Friday night, according to police. Officials investigating the Friday night incident said that Giovanni's Pizzeria owner Giovanni Raffo was approached by two men attempting to rob him in his driveway and at some point during the confrontation a gun in was fired.  Law enforcement officials this week located the bullet, which had shot through the upstairs window of the intended victim's home, through the bedroom of his son and then through the ceiling, eventually coming to rest after hitting an attic beam.
