Motorist Arrested on Marijuana Charges
Teens charged with underage drinking at old A&P
A Franklin Lakes man was arrested recently on narcotics charges after a traffic stop. Matthew G. Aslan, 23, was initially stopped on Franklin Avenue at 1:11 a.m. April 8 for having an inoperative tail light. However, police said a plastic bag containing marijuana was found in the car, as were several more bags commonly used to package marijuana. Aslan was charged with possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, possession of narcotics paraphernalia, improper maintenance of lamps and failure to exhibit a driver's license. He is scheduled to appear in Municipal Court on May 3. Sgt.
