Wyckoff Police Win Traffic Safety Award

Of the hundreds of municipalities in Bergen, Essex and Passaic eligible to receive this AAA award for keeping local roads safe, only 28 — including Wyckoff — took home the plaque.

The Wyckoff Chief of Police and township officials praised the police department's traffic bureau Monday night for its community road safety program. The traffic department, once again, received the award from AAA of North Jersey, which annually recognizes police programs in Bergen, Passaic and Essex counties.  Chief Benjamin Fox said it was a "distinct pleasure and honor" to present the award to the committee on behalf of the traffic department. "The average citizen will probably have some involvement with the police department in a traffic matter probably more than anything else," Fox said.
