High School Starts New Year, Garbage Schedule Change This Week

Plus, check out a list of local Labor Day closures in Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes.

It’s shaping up to be a busy week in Wyckoff-Franklin Lakes. Here’s a look at some events happening this week, and some of the stories you can expect to see on Patch. And, if there’s something else you’d like to see on the site this week, be sure to email it to Jessica.mazzola@patch.com.

Ramapo Indian Hills is the only district in Wyckoff-Franklin Lakes that is heading back to school this week, albeit not until Friday. The district will be starting with some changes this year, including a new interim Superintendent.

The RIH Board of Education, however, is also working on a policy that looks pretty far ahead – all the way to graduation. Check Patch this week for news about a new policy the board is discussing, inspired by events at last year’s graduation ceremony.

  • The Wyckoff Public Library is closed.
  • The Franklin Lakes Public Library is closed.
  • Banks, including TD, are closed.
  • Post offices are closed and there is no mail delivery.
