Expect Detours from Two Roads Projects This Week

One is in Wyckoff, and the other is in Franklin Lakes.

This week will be marked by two road closures - one in Wyckoff and one in Franklin Lakes.

Construction work on Newtown Road in Wyckoff is set to begin Monday and last through Nov. 22, the township announced last week. The grant-funding project will cause residents driving through the area to follow posted detours, or plan alternate routes around the township.

The borough of Franklin Lakes also released the following about a closure happening on Thursday:

Approximately 1,000 feet of Woodside Avenue, from 205 Woodside Avenue (in the area of the bridge) to Pulis Avenue, [was] milled on November 1, 2013 and [is scheduled to be] paved on November 7, 2013.

The road will be closed to primary traffic between these hours. Residents will be able to get in and out of their homes, but primary traffic will be detoured. Those traveling on Woodside Avenue will be detoured at Birch Road to Pulis Avenue. Those traveling on Pulis Avenue will utilize the detour currently in place for the sewer construction via Chapel Road to Campgaw Road.

Please allow additional time to take an alternate route and follow detours as needed. If you have any questions or concerns, contact the Franklin Lakes Police Department at 201-891-3131.
