Wednesday in Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes: Talk to Robots, Grab a Book

For kids and teens looking to escape the house for a few hours, both area libraries have programs to keep cool and maybe even learn a few things over the summer break.

Want to talk to a robots? A library workshop for Franklin Lakes children will show them how, exploring BASIC programming, the code that controls navigation in robotics. Students entering grades 4-6 can participate in some friendly science competition, taking place from 2-4 p.m., by registering online with the Franklin Lakes library.

The Wyckoff Library hosts weekly book discussions groups every Wednesday: “Talk it Up” for students entering grades 7-9 and “Speak Out” for grades 10-12. If you want to start attending the discussions, stop by the library to pick get a jump start on the next book.
