A New Face at DSM

Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations… All Under One Roof.

Thinking about graduation and knowing that this is my last winter break as an undergrad, I had a mild stroke and realized that I had to take advantage of this free time! I searched high and low for a great internship to really jazz up my resume for the final hurrah. I discovered the DSM Group on LinkedIn and the rest is history.

I’ve been privileged for the past few weeks to be a team member of DSM. My involvement in the company has ranged from social media and writing all the way to design and photography.  One of the highlights thus far has been meeting with the great people over at Sal Lauretta for Men in Midland Park, NJ. We took a peak at the spring collection and I photographed articles of clothing for their website and social media outlets. This was a great opportunity for me as a photographer because I am experienced in live music photography, not still life products. It was a nice way to expand my knowledge and get creative with the unknown!

Having experience in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop has benefitted me well whilst being with DSM. I was assigned the task of creating social media design branding for 074ATE1 Cooks For a Cure. Their Twitter and Facebook needed a little sprucing up and I was the lady for the job.  Creating banners, business cards, and letterhead was a fun way to focus on corporate design.

I’m excited to see what DSM has in store for me for the next few weeks until I return to my second home at Quinnipiac University. I figure a few more weeks of Photoshopping, writing, and photographing I’ll be one step closer to living the dream as a public relations professional with the one, the only, the DSM Group.
