Wyckoff Education Foundation 5K and Fun Run Set for Oct. 20

Event to support tools for leaning in Wyckoff Public School District

The Wyckoff Education Foundation announced its annual 5K Run & 1 mile Family Fun Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 10 a.m. at .

The event will feature a certified 5K race beginning at 10 a.m. with a one mile Family Fun Run/Walk at 11 a.m., according to WEF Public Relations Chair Brian Benedik.

Race participant fees are $25 or $20 for USATF Members. Family Fun Run/Walk fees are $15 for adults and $10 for children with a $45 family maximum. After the one mile event, prizes will be distributed to winners during an Awards Ceremony with a Family Fun Zone party to follow.

Party-goers can expect a DJ, games, rides and plenty of food and drink.

The Wyckoff Education Foundation is a non-profit organization created in 1990 in response to declining government funding of schools. The WEF Fundraisers directly benefit more than 2,300 Wyckoff students in the four elementary schools and the Eisenhower Middle School. Since its inception, the Foundation has raised $1.2 million and has awarded the funds through grants to the Wyckoff Board of Education.
