The Ramapo Gymnastics Team put the final stamp on an epic season as it amassed 111.875 points and captured its first NJSIAA team championship before 1,500 in attendance Monday at Montgomery High.

Kayla Yosif (senior), Sahara Gipson and Lauren Kish (both juniors) competed All Around for the team and Kara Giacose, Claire Scavone and Jenn Nacion competed in their specialized events.

The team score tied for the 10th-highest score in state finals history. The Green Raiders season consisted of an undefeated (8-0) season, Bergen County Champions, North Jersey League A Champions, and New Jersey North 1 Sectional Champions!

"Each year, the team has been getting progressively better," Levirne said. "This year, they won the county meet, they won the league meet, they won the sectional meet, came in here the top seed in the state and won. It's an amazing feeling. A unified effort and it was awesome."
