Franklin Lakes-native and star Syracuse kicker Ross Krautman made a 37-yard field goal vs University of Southern California as time expired in first half at MetLife Stadium on Sept. 8.
Krautman, a junior with 36 field goals, has set a pair of Big East scoring records in his first 2 years at Syracuse — one for top field goal percentage in a season at 94.7 percent (he was 18 for 19 in 2010,) and another for career percentage: 86.8 for nailing 33 of 38 in 2010 and 2011.
The 5'7" Ramapo High School Grad has four game winners in two seasons with 'Cuse, was named a Sporting News freshman All American, and was a member of the 2011 Fall Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
