Matt Simms will make $495,000 to stay a member of Gang Green through 2014, reports say.
Franklin Lakes native Matt Simms has been resigned to the NY Jets, according to a report on NYDailyNews.com.
Simms was expected to be a free agent, but renegotiated his contract to last through 2014, the report said.
According to the report, Simms will pull down $495,000 during 2014.

Resigning Simms means he’ll be one of three quarterbacks next season, with the other two being Geno Smith and Mark Sanchez, the report said. However, Sanchez is not expected to return to the team.
Simms is the son of legendary Giants player and borough resident Phil Simms.
