Franklin Lakes Cheerleaders Place Third at National Competition

This season was the first ever of competitive cheer in the borough.

The Franklin Lakes Competition Cheer Team wrapped its first successful season in Atlantic City at a national competition, Battle at the Boardwalk, this past weekend.

The Franklin Lakes team, which consists of 21 seventh and eighth graders, took third place in the Junior Rec Level 2 category.

This year marked the first season of competitive cheer for Franklin Lakes. Organizers say they are proud of the team. "Our true success is getting the program up and running to the level that we are even able to show in a national competition."
