On Tuesday, Jan. 15, the team was presented with accolades and a proclamation at the Wyckoff Township Committee meeting.

According to the proclamation honoring them, the girls earned four championship titles in 2012 and were undefeated on the season with an 8-0 record.

"A special group of student athletes – Senior captains Kelsey Creighton, Anabelle Kaplan, Claire Scavone, and Kayla Yosif, Senior Alexis Harley  Juniors Lauren Casey, Rhonda Eraiba, Sahara Gipson, Lauren Kish, Kristen Troya, Sophomores Jennifer Nacion, Kiely McBrady, and Kayla Wong and Freshmen Taylor Cipriano, Kara Giacose, and Emma Johnson achieved these extraordinary awards and honors by virtue of their commitment to unselfish team play, tireless work ethic, outstanding gymnastics skills, and their overall commitment to the sport of gymnastics," the proclamation read.

Levirne was named the Bergen Record Gymnastics Coach of the Year in December 2012.
