After Surgery, Ross Krautman Looks to Reclaim Syracuse Kicking Job

Senior considered one of the 'most successful kickers in school history.'

Syracuse kicker Ross Krautman, of Franklin Lakes, is staying with the football program for a fifth season.

Krautman was a celebrated athlete at Ramapo and has had a noteworthy career thus far with the Orangemen.

The senior is one of the “most successful kickers in school history” earning a nearly 78 percent accuracy rate and is tied for third in career kicks at the school, according to a report published on Syracuse.com

A hip injury after his first year hampered his success, according to the report. Next season he’ll be returning from hip surgery and competing for the kicking spot with sophomore Ryan Norton.
