Wyckoff Schools Extend Winter Break

The district has turned a half-day into a full day off this winter. But, students will make up that half day later in the school year.

Students in Wyckoff will have a day more of Winter Break next month, but they’ll pay it back at the end of the year.

According to an announcement from Wyckoff Superintendent Richard Kuder, the Board of Education voted earlier this month to switch Monday, Dec. 23 from a half day of school to a full day off. Winter Break will now go from Dec. 23 through Jan. 1.

The half day will be added back into the school calendar at the end of the year, on June 20, making that a full day of school. The last day of school is tentatively slated for June 25.
