10 RIH Students Chosen for ARTStart College Display

The annual William Paterson exhibit for high school students wrapped this weekend with an awards ceremony.

Ten Ramapo Indian Hills students have been accepted to the William Paterson University annual Bergen County high school student art exhibit, ARTStart, according to an announcement from the RIH art department. 

"The district Art department is very proud of these young artists for achieving such a wonderful accomplishment," RIH head art teacher Dan Bertelli said in the announcement.

The following students were chosen to display their artwork in the gallery.

  • Indian Hills: Ryan Restieri, Gabby Liberty, Mary Busker, Rebecca Li
  • Ramapo: Jacqueline Brockel, Alexa Caruso, Megan Farnan, Vincent Gunn, Hannah Scibetta, Stephanie Zmuda

The exhibit ran through Saturday, Feb. 1 in the Power Art Gallery at William Paterson University.

All students whose work was selected for the ARTstart received a certificate of recognition. In addition, an awards ceremony Saturday handed out awards in a number of categories including ‘Best in Show.’ Two distinguished university art professors judged all student work.
