RIH Scholarship Established in Late Secretary's Name

40-year Wyckoff resident Elaine M. Ferro died in March.

Two Ramapo Indian Hills students will be receiving a scholarship that has been dedicated to a woman who worked in the district for over three decades.

The school recently announced the creation of the Elaine M. Ferro Memorial Scholarship.

Ferro, who died on March 21, was a Wyckoff resident for 40 years. Prior to her June 2012 retirement, Elaine was employed for 34 years by the Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District as the secretary to the Business Administrator.

The family and friends of Elaine have established a Memorial Scholarship in her honor.

Each year, the scholarship will recognize one senior at each high school that helps people and emulates Ferro's character.

Anyone interested in making a donation to the scholarship fund can make a check out to the 'RIH Regional HS District Scholarship Fund' and note that it is for the Elaine Ferro Memorial Scholarship.

Donations should be sent to Frank Ceurvels, Business Administrator, 131 Yawpo Avenue, Oakland.
