New Woodside Ave. Principal to Hold 'Meet and Greets'

Kristine Cecere plans multiple sessions this summer to introduce herself to children and parents.

As she transitions into her leadership role at the helm of the school, newly appointed Woodsive Avenue School principal Kristine Cecere wants to get to know her future students and their parents this summer.

Cecere, a former elementary school in Fort Lee, was appointed by the board of education to fill the vacancy at the helm of the Woodside at its June 26 meeting.

“As I stated at the board meeting, I am looking for a home where together we honor all that is great at Woodside and work together to continue to nurture an environment where all of our children can flourish,” Cecere wrote in a letter to parents announcing the meet and greet opportunities.

One of her first priorities, she said, will be familiarizing herself with the school community, holding informal ‘meet and greets’ on Thursday as well as on Aug. 13.

She is planning to spend time in the school’s library at 2 and 7 p.m. each day to introduce herself to parents and children.
