Newtown Road Construction Pushed to November

Road closures were originally scheduled to start Monday.

A grant-funded road project that was scheduled to start Monday will be delayed a week, according to a post on Wyckoff’s municipal website.

A contractor delay has pushed back the project to a Nov. 4 start. Once construction begins, it will close Newtown Road from 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays.

Starting next week, residents driving through the area will either need to follow posted detours, or plan alternate routes around the township.

The project was originally slated to last through Nov. 22.

The road resurfacing project will be paid for by a $150,000 grant Wyckoff received from the state earlier this year.
