Colonial Road Closure Saturday
The roadwork will coat a portion of the roadway with an "anti-slip" surface."
A County roadwork project will close part of Colonial Road in Franklin Lakes Saturday. The borough released the following information about the closure on its website:
On Saturday, October 19, the County of Bergen will be applying a special anti-slip surface on the “S-curve” on Colonial Road. Consequently, Colonial Road will be closed between Wooded Trail and Hidden Pond Path, with the remainder of Colonial Road open for local traffic only, from 4 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, to 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 19.
The posted traffic plan will detour Colonial Road onto Briarwoods Road, to White Pine Road, to Farmdale Road, to Walder Drive, to Franklin Lakes Road and vice versa for traffic entering off Franklin Lakes Road.
The detour route will be clearly marked with signs. Plan alternate routes and follow detours as needed.
