Wyckoff to Plant Trees at Larkin House during Arbor Day Celebration

Residents are invited to the event this weekend.

The following was released by the township of Wyckoff.

The Wyckoff Shade Tree Commission and the Wyckoff Environmental Commission invites the community to its’ Annual Arbor Day Ceremony on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 9 am at the Larkin HousePark located at 380 Godwin Avenue.

Trees and shrubs will be planted on this peaceful, open space site.

The Larkin House Park is a five acre parcel located at 380 Godwin Avenue. The Larkin House and its property were donated to the Township of Wyckoff in 1999. The Larkin House has been modified foruse as an adult meeting room facility and meeting place for the Wyckoff Senior Citizens Club.

The grounds, in accordance with Mrs. Helen Larkin’s wishes, have been left in their natural state to maintain the pristine beauty of the property except for the parking area which was meandered between trees and large bushes. The property consists of a meadow, trees, shrubs, gardens, a grape arbor and acourt yard.
