Wyckoff to Construct Two New Turf Fields by October

The $2.5 million project will be funded by a partnership between the township and three local non-profits, officials said.

Two artificial turf fields are coming to Wyckoff.

According to an announcement from township officials, the two new fields proposed at the Pulis Recreation Complex are becoming a reality thanks to a partnership between the town and three local non-profits.

To fund the $2.5 million project, the township of Wyckoff is teaming up with the Wyckoff YMCA, the Wyckoff Parks and Rec Foundation, and the Torpedo Soccer Club.

The renovations to the complex are significant – the design for the new rec area include two turf fields, additional parking spaces, construction of an interior roadway to connect the fields to Charles Avenue, and the construction of an underground conduit and lighting stanchions and the fields and parking areas, officials said in the release.

Construction is planned to begin in August, and the facility will likely be opened for us in October, the release said.

The township also plans to host fundraisers to pay for a few additional aspects of the park, like energy-efficient outdoor lighting for both fields, parking lots, and a bathroom building.
