Township officials announced at a meeting Tuesday night plans for the annual ceremony, which is set to start at 6:30 p.m. next Wednesday, September 11, at the Company 1 firehouse, behind town hall on Franklin Avenue. The ceremony is set to include participation by Wyckoff emergency responders, and addresses from government officials.
Township Committee members Tuesday night urged residents to attend the event.
The 9/11 ceremony, “has a great community feel to it,” Committeeman Douglas Christie said.
“It’s a worthwhile event to attend,” Mayor Rudolf Boonstra added, asking residents to set aside time to go to the ceremony.
