Wyckoff Looking for Board of Health Members

Applicants should be doctors, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, EMTs, or others with a medical background.

Wyckoff is looking for volunteers to serve on its municipal Board of Health. According to an eblast sent out by the municipality Friday, applicants to the position should preferably have a medical background.

The township sent out the following note:

The Wyckoff Township Committee is seeking residents with health field or related backgrounds such as; Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, EMTs, etc. who wish to volunteer on the Wyckoff Board of Health. The Board of Health is an active and working volunteer board. Responsibilities include: 

  1. Attendance at ten (10) monthly meetings per year (held on the second Thursday of the month).
  2. Volunteer to work at the Annual Health Fair & Flu Vaccine Clinic, Rabies Clinic and other health programs throughout the year.
  3. Works with the Professional Health Officer to determine and carry out public health policies for the Township of Wyckoff.
  4. Monitors the Food Handlers licensing procedure and inspections for compliance with the State Sanitary Code.
