'Team Up to Tidy Up Day' Coming to Wyckoff

Annual town-wide clean-up event is looking for volunteers.

Wyckoff is working to make the township a cleaner place, and its asking residents to help on “Team Up to Tidy Up Day,” happening next month.

The township committee and Environmental Commission recently announced the volunteer initiative, which will place residents at spots around town and ask them to help clean up Wyckoff for a day. Team Up to Tidy Up is family and kid-friendly, so children can volunteer, too.

“The Environmental Commission is looking for a great turnout this year in their ongoing campaign promoting litter-consciousness,” the township said in a public service announcement about the event.

Even “if you are unable to join us…you can help by not creating litter and also reminding those who may forget that littering is against the law.”

Team Up to Tidy Up Day is Saturday, April 5, at 9 a.m. Volunteers will meet in the second floor courtroom of town hall at 8:30 a.m. to finalize assignments. Sign up to volunteer at the clean up and to request a specific clean-up location by calling 201-891-7000 ext. 101.
