Letter to the Editor: Jepsen Will Tackle Township Issues With Creativity

Dear Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to proclaim my support for Kevin Rooney and Haakon Jepsen as candidates for the office of Wyckoff Township Committee.

I was fortunate to meet Haakon at the Saint Elizabeth's Men's Cornerstone Retreat in the spring of 2011. Since then, I have become close friends with Haakon and his family. I have a great deal of respect for the enthusiasm and passion Haakon shows in the activities he undertakes. Haakon has a very positive attitude and is always seeking new ways to make things better.

During the last year, I have seen Haakon take on leadership roles in both the church and community. He takes a great deal of pride in his community and is always striving to help the community grow. Haakon is constantly helping others and volunteers his time to assist his family, friends and community. Many members of the community, including myself, look to him as a role model.

Whenever there is a problem in town, Haakon finds the time to discuss the issues. Taking the time to see the impact of decisions that affect our community is one of Haakon's strongest qualities. I look forward to the innovative ideas Haakon will develop in resolving the challenges he will face as Township Committee member.

On behalf of my family and myself we endorse Kevin Rooney and Haakon Jepsen on November 6th.
