Franklin Lakes Mayor to Seek Second Term

Bivona will run unopposed in the upcoming Republican primary, report says.

Franklin Lakes Mayor Frank Bivona will seek a second term.

According to a report on NorthJersey.com, the mayor will run unopposed in the June 3 Republican primary. No one filed to run in the Democratic primary, the report said.

The longtime resident was first elected to the borough council in 2009, and to the mayor’s position in 2010, the report said.

Bivona will run alongside two fellow uncontested incumbents seeking reelection to their council seats. 

According to NorthJersey.com, Council President Paulette Ramsey and Councilman Joseph Kelly also filed petitions for the June 3 primary. The two are seeking reelection to three-year terms on the council, the report said. Kelly has been on the council since 2012, and Deb since 1995, the report said.
