2014 Communication to Focus on Emergency Preparedness, Wyckoff Says

Residents will receive a calendar with tips next week.

Next week, township resident should expect to receive a 2014 Wyckoff calendar in the mail. Because of the past three years, township officials announced at a recent meeting the theme of the calendar is Emergency Preparedness.

The township released the following information about the calendar:

[It] includes many useful and timely tips for you and your family to stay safe in case of a disaster or emergency. These tips include preparations prior to an emergency and developing a family emergency kit. It also highlights the Wyckoff Office of Emergency Management, the Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department and the Wyckoff Volunteer Ambulance Corps. The calendar will serve as a useful reference guide for years to come in addition to its utility in 2014. As always, the calendar also contains valuable information regarding trash/recycling schedules, voting districts, polling locations and important dates.
