17 Residents Win Franklin Lakes Photo Competition
A vintage boy scout photo and nature shots are among the winners.
Seventeen residents have won the Franklin Lakes Borough Calendar Photo Competition, the town announced via an eblast Friday.
Photos taken by the residents will be featured in the 2014 calendar. They are also featured on the borough’s Facebook page.
“We hope that these photos will inspire more members of our community. It's never too early to start taking pictures, especially during these magical winter months,” the borough said in the release.

“This town is fortunate to be surrounded with so many scenic landmarks, and we cannot wait to show case them again in next year's calendar.”

The winning photos are made up of mostly nature shots from around Franklin Lakes, but also include some photos of municipal buildings, and a picture of a borough Boy Scout troop from the 1980s.
