Wyckoff Postal Clerk Charged With Stealing Second Credit Card

A second victim of alleged credit card theft came forward after reading about a Wyckoff postal clerk who was , according to Wyckoff Police Chief Benjamin Fox.
Dafnea Carroll, a 41-year-old Newark resident, was charged September 20 with making a fraudulent purchase with a stolen credit card for the second time, police said. Police were alerted to the crime by a Wyckoff resident who had left a credit card at the post office.
Carroll allegedly took the card and used it to purchase $440 in stamps. The victim had not reported the crime to police until after reading about the first incident, police said.

Last July, police arrested Carroll for credit card theft after she allegedly tried to use the stolen card at a local store, but could not complete the transaction because she didn't know the right zip code.
