Wyckoff Man Again Faces Trespassing Charge

This story was published Aug. 3, 2010.

A Wyckoff man was charged with violating a restraining order after police allegedly caught him in a Godwin Avenue home.

Authorities said they observed Justin D. Tamboer, 168 Godwin Ave., walking on the block at 3:35 a.m. July 22. While waiting to confirm that there was a restraining order preventing him from entering what police have previously said is his mother's home, Patrolman Kevin Kasak temporarily lost sight of Tamboer. He was joined by Sgt. Michael Ragucci and Patrolman Ryan Tenney, who went to the home and found Tamboer inside. He was arrested and charged with trespassing and contempt of a domestic violence restraining order.

  • A Mahwah teen was arrested on drug charges after police allegedly found him in possession while in a parked car.

Detective Sgt. Joseph Soto investigated a vehicle parked at 9:50 p.m. July 21 in front of the vacant supermarket on Greenwood Avenue. Soto said the odor of marijuana was obvious when he got near the car, occupied by two minors.

The driver, a 17-year-old Mahwah teen, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of narcotics paraphernalia for allegedly converting an energy drink can into a smoking pipe.

The teen was released to his father, and a complaint was filed with Bergen County Juvenile Court.
