Wyckoff Honors Retiring Sergeant for 25 Years of Service

Sgt. Dale Winters served as a certified armorer and active shooter instructor while on the force.

The following was submitted to Patch by the Wyckoff Police Department.

The Wyckoff Township Committee recently recognized Sgt. Dale Winters for his retirement from the police department following 25 years of service. 

Sgt. Winters served as a shift supervisor, the officer in charge of school crossing guards, firearms instructor, active shooter instructor and a certified armorer to repair firearms.

In May 2013, he sustained a knee injury while making an arrest. The injury prevented him from returning to duty and he retired as of January 1. The township committee and members of the police department wished him well in his retirement and presented him with a plaque with his badge.
