Wyckoff Firefighters Sworn In and Promoted

Township welcomed 8 new volunteers

The Wyckoff Committee welcomed new firefighters, junior firefighters and promoted two members of the Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department during the Monday night committee meeting.

Fire Commissioner Rudy Boonstra spoke highly of the department's leadership for their outreach and recruitment efforts in the community.

"I want to thank everyone for the commitment you've made," Boonstra said. "I don't think the average resident knows the level of commitment for training and alarm time and everything that goes along with this membership."

"I think it's an amazing compliment to the leadership that the ranks keep growing — that's not happening in a lot of places," Scanlan said.
