The Wyckoff Fire Department extinguished a blaze on a Mills Place home early this morning.
According to Fire Department Chief Mike Rose, the home owner reported the fire, which started on the rear deck, at 4:46 a.m. Firefighters arrived to find that the flames had spread up from the deck to the roof of the house and spent about 40 minutes putting it out.
The two residents at home both escaped. Nobody was injured and the cause is still unknown.
