Wyckoff FD Announces 56th Annual Fireworks Display

Fundraiser does not coincide with the 4th of July.

For the 56th time, the Wyckoff Fire Department will be hosting a fireworks extravaganza, but it once again will not coincide with the Fourth of July weekend celebrations.

The township recently announced the 56th Annual Fire Department Fireworks Display and Band Concert Fundraiser, which is happening behind Memorial Town Hall on Saturday, August 30. The concert is set to begin at 6:45 p.m. and the fireworks at 8:30.

The township called the show an "annual tradition" and invited all residents to attend.

Although it will not be hosting a Fourth celebration, the township did release the following reminders about the holiday:

  • No garbage and trash collection on Friday, July 4, 2014. Garbage collections will continue on the next scheduled pick up day which is Tuesday, July 8, 2014.
  • The Library will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2014 for Independence Day. It reopens on Saturday, July 5, 2014.
  • The Township Recycling and Conservation Center will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2014 and Saturday, July 5, 2014.
  • Town Hall will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2014 in observance of Independence Day.
  • The municipal offices will reopen Monday, July 7, 2014 at 9:00 am.
  • The Township Committee extends its best wishes to all residents for a safe Independence Day Holiday!
