Wyckoff Bonding for New Fire Pumper Truck

The $550,000 bond ordinance approved last week will cover most of the cost to replace an outdated truck at Fire Company No. 1.

Wyckoff will bond $550,000 to purchase a new pumper truck for fire company number one, following a vote to approve the bond ordinance last week.

The bond ordinance will cover most of the $625,000 cost of the truck, the rest coming from the municipality’s capital improvement fund.

The truck will replace an older model already in use by Fire Company No. 1. According to Fire Department Chief Lou Graglia, the pumper currently being used by the company is more than 30 years old.
