On July, 15, burglars pried open the rear window of a Lynn Drive residence, ransacked the master bedroom and stole an undetermined amount of jewelry, according to police reports.

In June, two home burglaries were reported in one week. In March, three burglaries were reported, one between March 14 and 16 and two more on March 29 and 30. Those break-ins were believed to be part of a resurgence of the James Bond Gang, a notorious burglary ring known for targeting high-end homes. Arrests were made in in connection with burglaries in Mahwah.

Two more burglaries were reported in January, the first on Jan. 10 on Sunset Terrace and the second on Jan. 27 on High Woods Drive

The recent increase in burglaries prompted Public Safety Director Irving Conklin to share these burglary prevention tips with residents.
