Two-Alarm Fire Ignites at Urban Farms Shopping Center

The cause of the fire, which broke out in several of the center's stores, is still under investigation, Franklin Lakes authorities said.

Several stores in the Urban Farms Shopping Center were affected by a two-alarm fire that broke out Sunday morning, Franklin Lakes Fire Chief Ryan Dodd said Sunday afternoon.

The fire broke out in the façade of the shopping center near Delpino Restaurant and Urban Cleaners, the eve of the building, and on a common wall inside the restaurant at about 7:50 a.m. Sunday, Dodd said.

The fire was extinguished quickly and “crews overhauled the walls, ceiling, and roof to locate hot spots,” Dodd said.
