Teen Charged with Drug Possession

Plus warrant and DWI arrests made by Franklin Lakes Police this week.

A 17-year-old borough teen was arrested on Monday, the Franklin Lakes Police Department reports. 

According to the release, the July 25 arrest came as the result of a report of a suspicious car on Blueberry Lane. 

The teen was charged with  possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. He was taken to police headquarters, processed and released. The charges will be forwarded to the Bergen County Family Court.

Police also made three other arrests this week: 

On Saturday, July 23, a 53-year-old Ringwood man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated as a result of a motor vehicle stop.

Another motor vehicle stop on on Saturday resulted in the arrest of a 42-year-old Waldwick resident. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Hawthorne. 

On Tuesday, July 25, police arrested a 55-year-old Mahwah man on charges of driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. The arrest was also the result of a motor vehicle stop.
