SUV Flips After Two-Car Crash, Driver Taken to Hospital

Incident occurred Tuesday at around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Ravine and Lafayette.

One man was taken to the hospital after his car was struck by another vehicle and flipped at the intersection of Ravine and Lafayette late Tuesday morning.

Lt. Charles Van Dyk said the grey Honda CRV was travelling toward Hawthorne on Lafayette when the driver of a white Mercedes Benz SUV – who had a baby on board – failed to come to a complete stop at the stop sign heading down Ravine.

The driver of the CRV appeared to sustain minor leg injuries and was taken to Valley Hospital, Van Dyk said. His vehicle appeared totalled – with major damage to the passenger side and a shattered front windshield.
