Speeder Charged with DWI

Police allege Butler man was going more than double the speed limit on Route 208.

A man driving faster than 100 miles an hour on Route 208 North around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday was arrested. 

According to police, David Rios, 27, of Butler, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and speeding. 

Lt. John Bakelaar reported that Rios's 2008 Subaru was clocked driving 112 mph on Route 208 North in Franklin Lakes, a 55  mph zone. Police initiated the stop near Ewing Avenue on Route 208 and Rios was arrested on Route 287 South at the Oakland border.
