Wyckoff police are searching for a man who they say stole prescription pills Nov. 29 from Miller's Pharmacy, 678 Wyckoff Ave.

Sgt. Daniel Kellogg and Patrolmen Terry Murphy and Michael DeMaio investigated a burglar alarm at the pharmacy at approximately 7:41 p.m. The pharmacy's door facing Main Street had been forced open but the responding police did not find anyone inside the business. An area search, with assistance from the Bergen County Police K-9 unit and Midland Park and Franklin Lakes police, came up negative.

However, surveillance tapes reveal a white male entering the building and immediately heading to storage cabinets where prescription drugs are stored, police said. The man is seen taking bottles of oxycodone pills before fleeing the store, and police said it's believed the suspect made off with 360 pills.

The 30- to 40-year-old burglar looks to be about 6'2" and was wearing a blue baseball cap, a green fleece top, jeans and brown shoes.

Detective Sgt. Joseph Soto is handling the ensuing investigation. Anyone with any information on the suspect is requested to contact the police department's Detective Bureau at 201-891-2121.
